August 24, 2013
raumD, Oslostrasse 12
@ Oslo Night, Dreispitz site
BYOB Basel invites to take part in an open source art experience. Related to the subject of “participation” and “sharing” of the Oslo Night – a one-of-a-kind street festival – BYOB Basel welcomes everyone who wants to be part of an art-cultural movement based on collective interventions.
As a meanwhile spread over the world phenomenon BYOB was conceived by Rafael Rozendaal and initiated in 2010 in Berlin.
BYOB Basel will be organized by the House of Electronic Arts Basel (HeK). HeK aims to present and foster contemporary art projects that apply and address new media and technologies, and reflect on their social, economic and political impact on our daily lives. A year-round program of events takes place in its location on the Dreispitz site in Basel/Münchenstein.
Come with a projector, your computer or video player and an extension cord. BYOB Basel is open for (re-)interpretations of “projection”. Explore the medium and its possibilities of space transformation in a hands-on and/or critical manner. There’s plenty of projection space for everyone and the event is open to anyone else who might be interested.
